What it is
Semax is a synthetic heptapeptide (Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro). It is an analogue of the ACTH(4–10) fragment, designed for greater stability than the native sequence. In laboratory work it is treated as a neuropeptide signal, not as a finished medicine or a consumer nootropic.
Research focus
The literature places Semax in CNS research: BDNF and neurotrophin expression, models of cerebral ischemia, attention and memory tasks, and related neuroprotection work. These are research territories. Published papers examine Semax in rodent and cell systems of neural plasticity and ischemic injury. This page documents the compound on file. It does not instruct use.
